when does leeds pride take place?
Leeds Pride Festival 2026 will run across Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th July 2026. While a range of events will take place throughout the weekend, the main celebrations, including the primary site, parade, family area and stalls, will all take place on Sunday.
Do I need a ticket to attend Leeds Pride?

Leeds Pride kicks off with our parade which leaves from the Town Hall, on the Headrow. The main celebrations then continue on Lower Briggate (LS1), where our main stage is located.
How can I apply to take part in the Parade?

Parade entires will gather on the streets surrounding Leeds Town Hall. The parade will then begin to weave through the city, ending on The Calls, before heading into the main site.

- Liquid bottles brought into the event spaces must be sealed/unopened.
- At our Lower Briggate event space, water and soft drinks in sealed plastic bottles, drinks for babies and young children, personal water bottles if they are empty and small amounts of food only will be allowed.
- If you’re feeling unwell or hurt yourself, speak to the nearest steward or member of the security team.
- If your child gets lost, please contact the nearest steward or member of the security team.
alcohol policy
Alcohol cannot be brought into the Leeds Pride site. This rule is in accordance with the requirements set by the police and the event license.
Bag searches will be conducted for security purposes. To expedite your entry and reduce queues, we encourage attendees not to bring unnecessary bags.
Glass items are not permitted onsite, and soft drinks must be sealed and not in glass containers.

Bag searches will be conducted at Leeds Pride for your safety. While these measures may result in slightly longer queues, we appreciate your cooperation in ensuring everyone’s security. If you can manage without a bag, we encourage you not to bring one to speed up entry for all attendees. Soft drinks are permitted but must be sealed. Please note that all open bottles, including drinking water bottles, must be sealed. Glass items are strictly prohibited onsite.
We maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards drugs. Individuals found in possession of drugs will be subject to standard enforcement procedures, ejected from the site, and reported to the police. The use of ‘legal’ highs is also prohibited onsite.
