Freedom Party Saturday Site Revealed as Leeds Pride Expands to a Two-Day Celebration

Leeds Pride organisers have formally unveiled plans for the Freedom Party Saturday site, a brand-new addition to this year’s celebrations that will transform the Freedom Quarter into a vibrant hub of music, performance, and community spirit.

Taking place from 12pm to 10pm, the Saturday event will feature 10 full hours of entertainment across two stages, the Main Stage and the Cabaret Stage, alongside a lively selection of food vendors, market stalls, and pop-up attractions. Organisers promise a packed line-up including local and international drag queens, spectacular tribute acts, and some familiar faces from the LGBTQ+ entertainment scene.

The newly revealed site will also incorporate the popular Viaduct Showbar, meaning that anyone who purchases a Leeds Pride Saturday ticket will receive full free access to the venue while the event is live. The move aims to bring together one of the city’s most iconic LGBTQ+ venues with the Pride festivities.

In a further effort to support the wider community, organisers say visitors will be able to scan their ticket for entry and then leave and return later, encouraging people to explore the many other LGBTQ+ venues, bars and Pride events taking place across the Freedom Quarter throughout the day and night.

Tickets start from just £7.50, giving attendees access to the full ten-hour programme across both stages. Organisers say the Saturday ticketed event plays an important role in supporting the wider Pride weekend.

Funds raised from Saturday will directly support Sunday’s Leeds Pride celebrations, helping to keep the city’s main Pride event free to attend through donations.

“Saturday is about creating an incredible party atmosphere while also helping us secure the future of Pride in Leeds,” organisers said. “By grabbing a ticket early, you’re helping fund Sunday’s celebrations and ensuring we can continue to keep the main Pride event open and accessible to everyone.”

Sunday will remain a donation-only event, featuring the full Pride site plan and the large-scale celebrations that Leeds Pride is known for.

With the introduction of the Freedom Party Saturday site, Leeds Pride will now run across two days, offering visitors even more opportunities to celebrate, connect and experience Pride across the city.

Tickets are available now and organisers are encouraging supporters to purchase early to help make the weekend a success.

“Experience Leeds Pride like never before,” they say, now across two unforgettable days. 🏳️‍🌈🎉
