Leeds Pride 2025 Shines Bright, Ahead of 20th Anniversary

Leeds Pride has cemented its status as one of the best-loved Pride parades in the UK after
this year’s spectacular event saw thousands descend on the city for a day of celebration and
unity.

Despite rainy weather, the people of Leeds came out in force to drench the city in colour and
joy, making a powerful show of solidarity and resilience especially at a time when global
events continue to highlight the importance of Pride.

More than 160 companies and organisations took part in the parade and over 6,500 people
proudly marched in support of the LGBTQ+ community.

On Lower Briggate, chart-topping acts including Liberty X, Booty Luv, Kelly Llorena and
Angie Brown delivered unforgettable performances alongside a vibrant mix of tribute artists
such as Smalltown Boy, The Voice of Whitney and Sweet Like Sabrina.

Queenz brought their dazzling Drag Me to the Disco show to the main stage, while hosts
Soraya Vivian and Matt Jameson kept the crowd entertained throughout the day.
This year also saw the exciting debut of a brand-new cabaret stage, headlined by Danny
Beard and a glittering lineup of local drag talent. Meanwhile, the community stage in
Millennium Square featured beloved performers including Drag Queen Le Fil and Gay
Abandon, West Yorkshire’s LGBTQ+ choir.

Revellers were treated to new additions across the festival site including an expanded family
area, the largest selection of street food and market stalls in Leeds Pride’s history, and an
unbeatable atmosphere throughout the day.

The festivities made a huge impact on the local economy, driving significant footfall to city
centre businesses. Hotels, bars, and restaurants reported a major boost in trade, with many
venues joining the popular Eat Pride, Drink Pride scheme, which offered wristband holders
exclusive deals across the city.

A spokesperson for Leeds Pride said: “Leeds Pride 2025 was a truly unforgettable day. The
scale of support from individuals, organisations and the wider city was incredible and even
as the rain came down, thousands of people filled the streets, a powerful testament to the
unwavering spirit of Leeds and the strength of our incredible LGBTQ+ community and allies.”

“With everything going on in the world, Pride remains more important than ever, and it was
amazing to see so many people standing together to celebrate love and equality.
As we look ahead to Leeds Pride 2026, which marks our 20th anniversary, we’re already
planning something extra special. We can’t wait to reveal what we have in store for this
milestone year.”

Leeds Pride 2026 takes place on Saturday 18th & Sunday 19th July. For updates, announcements, and
