20 YEARS PROUD. LEEDS PRIDE UNVEILS HUGE PLANS

Organisers of Leeds Pride have announced the first wave of acts performing at the festival’s huge 20th anniversary event this summer.

A thrilling and vibrant two-day celebration will take place on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 July to mark the milestone anniversary, with the city set to welcome its biggest Pride crowd in history.

Headlining the main stage will be Strictly Come Dancing Icon and RuPaul’s Drag Race Star La Voix, Charlie XCX tribute performer Rachel Fuller and International Eurodance act Livin’ Joy.

Joining them will be The Harry Styles Show, Drag Queen Baga Chipz and UK dance act Sweet Female Attitude. More acts and performers are due to be revealed in the coming months.

The exciting announcement was made at the official Leeds Pride pre-festival campaign launch, held at Crowded House.

Plans are well underway to make it a weekend to remember with fantastic food and drink and a full weekend of diverse events, including the Leeds Pride Drag Brunch Fest, street parties across the city and the iconic Pride parade, which promises to be the most spectacular yet.

Jet2, the UK’s largest tour operator, has also been announced as the headline sponsor of Leeds Pride for the third-year running.

Many food and drink outlets will also be sharing special discounts and exclusive offers with the Eat Pride, Drink Pride wristbands, which will once again be available to buy online for only £5.

A spokesperson for Leeds Pride said: “Our 20th anniversary is a huge moment for Leeds Pride. We’re planning the biggest and boldest event in our history with more acts, more entertainment and more ways for people to come together and celebrate love, equality and community.

“Leeds Pride is not just a celebration of the LGBTQ+ community, it’s a major cultural moment for the whole of Leeds. We can’t wait to welcome record crowds to the city for what promises to be an unforgettable celebration.”
